It'll be held on Sunday, Feb. 19th, starting at 11 am, until whenever we get tired of blabbering about Pony for the day.

Location:  Mount Holly International Buffet, Evergreen Plaza, just off of Rt 38 in Lumberton, NJ 08060.   (NOTE!  It's not found by maps because it's just re-opened this year after extensive renovation)  It's in the section of Rt 38 between the Mount Holly Bypass and 206.

If you're heading west on 38, it's on the left, just past the Walmart (1740 Route 38, Lumberton, NJ.  You can use this address, as the Evergreen Plaza is the plaza to the left of Walmart on the satellite map).

If you're heading east on 38, it's the second shopping plaza on your right past the McDonalds.

It's a big plaza with a big sign that says "EVERGREEN PLAZA", so it's rather hard to miss.

On the other side of 38 in that area is the old, closed landfill, so buildings are only on one side which makes it even easier to find!  Tis why we went with that place:  central location, easy to find.

Cost:  Bring $13-$15 for the buffet and something to drink.

I can also bring a couple SDCC MLP posters to sell at a reduced rate from what I'd post on Ebay, since I won't have to deal with shipping and selling fees.  Let me know if you want one!

You can all contact me via my gmail:  charleroy77@gmail.com

So, what shall we call ourselves?  "NJ Knights of Equestria"?  "Pine Barrens Ponies"?  "The Toxic Crusaders"?  "Bronies Who Pay Huge Property Taxes"?  ;3

Send in your cutie mark whenever you can. I'll put a little journal up where everypony can post a link to a picture of theirs, or an object that looks like theirs.

I can draw well enough to put them all on a single page for the artist to add to the Jersey Discord's picture, as long as the marks aren't miniature Mona Lisa's or something!

Glad you had a good time! I'm planning the next meet in mid-May. I think 4 meets a year is the most I can handle!

I'll be gathering cutie marks, as well as OC ponies for the group picture I'm going to commission for John DeLancie. I think he'll get a kick out of it. :3

Mine will be my insane mad geneticist pony, Helix, who splices ponies with other creatures to try and replicate Discord! D:

About how old will the eldest person be there. I don't want to feel like the only Teen there.

You won't be! The guy who scouted the location with me in November is a teen.

I'm 35. And if my friend Giovanni comes (he's the same age) he and I may be the oldest ones there. I'm sure the majority of the others will be teens to twenties.

I actually liked hanging out with older people when I was young! They were the only ones who could understand half of what I would talk about. It's tough to be interested in science in America. No one knows anything about it in kindergarten. (I was a mega-nerd)

I should make some gingerbread ones next time if I have the time! I know an incredibly good recipe and an orange-ginger glaze for the top... mmmmm... I usually make myself sick eating wayyyyy too many of them when I make them. ;3

The SDCC 2011 posters? They're $25 each. They're getting hard to find, even on Ebay! And the ones there are usually absurdly high.

Even scarcer is the Pinkie Pie Christmas ornament I wanted, but they sold out EVERYWHERE, even online, weeks before Christmas! I tried to nab one on Ebay, but it got snatched at the last minute from me. $28, not including shipping! And they retailed for $6.00!

The Jersey Discord prints will only be a few dollars each when I get those. Just enough to cover the printing costs from Staples or Officemax. :3

How many of your friends do you think will come? I'm nearing 20, and if I reach that I might be able to reserve the entire back dining area for us.

And don't forget to tell everyone to bring at least $15 for the buffet and a drink!

Another important note! As it has been confirmed that ultra-awesome evil villain voice John De Lancie WILL BE AT BRONYCON, we can also use our meetup to plan carpooling and room sharing for those who are going to be at Bronycon too!

Room sharing drastically cuts the cost per person, and carpooling will slash the gas/toll/parking costs.

Saving money means more remains for pony and the all-important autographs!

I have some of those SDCC posters, as I mentioned, for anyone who'd like to buy one. :3

I have one in particular that I'm going to eventually have every single cast member sign, plus Lauren Faust, Daniel Ingram, and Jayson Thiesen. :D Plus I got a picture last Bronycon of Discord trolling Captain Picard, with the intention of meeting De Lancie and getting his sig for it... and lo and behold! It shall come to pass!

So I'm psyched for our meetup, psyched for Bronycon, psyched for the new princess Cadence and what the potential three-part season finale will entail... Pony just keeps being 20% more awesome every week!

It'll be simple enough this time around. A buffet keeps small to medium-size gatherings flowing smoothly while everyone chats. We might want to have some semi-planned discussions over things like the best of the fanfictions (I have a list of 80+ I consider worthwhile to read) or which characters would be nice to see more of and what could be done with them in future tales.

Well, it's just in an oriental buffet place. If your parent's don't mind, I don't see why not. It's rather an informal gathering at this point, a simple get-together to chat about pony and eat. You'll need to bring $15 to cover food and soda/tea.

Good good! Let me know if you can find the plaza easily on a map. As long as you can locate it on a map, it's easy to get to. There's not much else out there if you go too far eastward and pass the Walmart on 38! How would you be headed to the place? Up or down 206? Or 295 to exit 40 for rt 38 east?

You work at CHOP? That's awesome! I have been going there a lot recently, because of my brother's brain cancer. I'll be there tomorrow, so if you are near radiation, feel free to say hi to one of the Gillespies.

*chuckles* I'm in the research wing at the Abramson building, not the clinical wing of the main hospital. In fact, I'm not allowed to go near patients because I work in the animal facility and handle transgenic bacteria. It's a safety thing, just in case, you see.

I do know one of the doctors in oncology and her husband, David Vaughn (who now heads the new CTRB research center across the street from Abramson, which is now where our mice are).

My brother went to CHOP for leukemia wayyyyy back in the early 90's. He's fine now, thankfully, due to a treatment discovery that was approved just in time for the particular type of leukemia he had: a combination chemotherapy including the then recently-discovered drug vincristine. It's a rather nasty drug, it'll eat through your skin and has to be injected via a central line because it destroys smaller vessels too quickly. But it's extremely effective against certain types of lymphocytic leukemia, raising survival from 10% to 90% after its inclusion in the treatment regimen.

Ah, I see. That would only make sense.

But either way it is nice to meet someone who works for the hospital.

My brother is only taking mild doses of chemo pills at the moment, and the effects have yet to settle in on him. He has only lost hair where the radiation is being aimed, which is great, but he refuses to cut his hair even with half of it gone.

CHOP is an awesome hospital, all the staff I have met have been friendly, and that food court, DAAAMMMMMNNNN xD. Cooper Hospital was alright, it was just a bit more tense there.

But thanks for letting me know that you work for CHOP. Because of that, my mother is now allowing me to go indefinitely. Even if she finds my obsession with pastel colored ponies a bit odd.

*laughs* Glad I could help! I have the same effect on furries and bronies as Albert Einstein did on fans of "Beany and Cecil". He loved the show, even though it was for little kids. So no one made fun of anyone our age who liked that show, else they'd be insulting one of the greatest geniuses of all time!

I'm not at that level of brilliance, but still, having a biologist working at a major pediatric oncology/research hospital as a fan does tend to shift the perspective quite a bit!

PS: I will tend to 'get scientific' in my conversations at the meet. I can't help it! The first time, I forget how Pony led to subject, but I ended up spending half an hour blabbering about cosmology/black holes/dark energy and all that stuff! It was just two of us, though, scouting the location. I'll likely be more Pony-focused with a larger group, and now a new season's worth of episodes to talk about!

Science and ponies? What a brilliant combination.

I always told people that a lot of the smartest people of the web are bronies, and it's true. In one year's time we are creating commercial level PMV's and videos, full length games, making large donations to charity, fan fics that pull the reader in, and just having fun along the way. I have yet to find a true brony that doesn't have a unique trait or skill about them.

I just guess only the intelligent and skilled can see the value in such a great show. Who knows \_(ツ)_/

Well, I'm looking forward to finally meeting some bronies (that I haven't converted myself) in real life. If you need any help with anything, be sure to let me know. I have a friend who could create the "Jersey Discords" banner for us, if you'd like.

My cutie mark is a DNA strand. XD

Actually... yeah, I'm gonna have to do that now. My personal pony shall be named Helix! He's a geneticist!

I've got 4 OC ponies now to get pics of:

Tawny Pride: large lion-colored stallion with a male lion head cutie mark, special talent is his bravery. He's a captain of the Royal Guard.

Cat's Claw: lion colored unicorn with a lion's paw cuie mark. The mark changes to a paw with claws bared when she's doing something evil... which she does often! There's something not quite right about her and her predatory golden gaze!

Fleece: A rather demure, snow-white mare with soft gray eyes and a lamb cutie mark. She has a gentle personality and is very humble, but not nearl as shy as Fluttershy. Her special talent is knitting and otherwise working with wool.

And now Helix. I shall have to come up with a little bio for him. :3 Oooo... a scientist pony who ends up working with Twilight! And they both stumble across Cat's Claw's evil plan and true identity! And they fall in LOVE!! SQUEEEEE!!! SHIPPING-ADVENTURE OC FANFIC WITH TWILIGHT SPARKLE!!! :date:

*sees you watching O__o * Oh... uhm... yes, well. I shall certainly bear the banner idea in mind. But, I must have a vote between the names people like best: NJ Knights of Equestria vs. Jersey Discords. Shall we be loyal to Celestia or side with the devil?!
