Jersey Discords meetup a success! :D

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed the meet!  I had a great time myself.  Now that we have one under our belt, the next one will be even better!

It'll be in mid- to late-May, and I'll make the reservation at the beginning of April.   Same place, same time of day, since everyone now knows where it is (and it's easier to find on a map now that the restaurant has a Facebook page with their address and a map on it!).

I'll be creating a Meetup page over the next month with all the info.  As I mentioned at the meet, to cover the Meetup usage costs, it'll be a $10 annual fee for each member.   Once we get past 20 confirmed members, the cost will begin to decrease, UNLESS every pony wants to keep it steady at $10 and use the excess to commission special group artwork.

The first of this type will be the "Discord's Army" image I mentioned, which I'd like to get done with one evil or 'Discorded' OC pony from each member.  Then at the May meetup, it'll signed by all of us, and then presented to John De Lancie at Bronycon in June.  

I know MANY artists and can get some really amazing pictures!  The little one today was just an $18 quickie!  Anyway, we'll discuss that as time goes on and the group grows.

Prints of the art will be cheap.  I can get 8 x 10 glossies at Staples for around $2 each.  It'll be at-cost for group members.  :3

Photos are posted.  I never remember to get any pictures with me... ah well, at least the FBI won't be able to identify me.  >:}

Another note:  Anypony going to Bronycon from NJ, let's try to organize carpooling and room shares to cut the costs!  Everypony going and staying for about the same time period should coordinate!  I'll be going Saturday morning, staying Saturday night, then going back late Sunday.  I'm flexible by a few hours on the outbound and return trips.   My usual plans for a convention are 2-3 additional roomies.  Factor in the savings of splitting the gas and parking costs when carpooling is an option, and the savings are tremendous!  This, of course, leaves more cash for Pony!
